Electoral Count Act

TYLER, Texas — A federal court in Texas dismissed U.S. Representative Louie Gohmert’s suit challenging the constitutionality of the Electoral Count Act for lack of standing. Gohmert and the other plaintiffs, Republican presidential electors for Arizona, claimed there are “competing slates” of electors from contested states and the vice president should decide which electoral votes should count.
