Eight Singers Say Phil Spector Owes Them

QUEENS, N.Y. (CN) - Eight pop singers claim Phil Spector owes them royalties. The plaintiffs include members of The Crystals, the Ronettes, and Bobbie Soxx and the Blue Jeans. Among the plaintiffs is Spector's former wife, Ronnie Greenfield Spector.

Plaintiffs Darlene Love, Fanita James, Ronnie Greenfield, Nedra Talley, Estelle Bennett, Barbara Alston, Dolores Kenniebrew, and Mary Thomas-Anderson say Spector produced their records. The complaint in Queens County Court states that Spector and three of his corporations refused to pay their royalties, but does not estimate the amount owed.

They are represented by Ira Greenberg with Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge.
