‘Dude, Where’s My Permit?’

FAIRFIELD, Calif. (CN) - The City of Vallejo claims a medical marijuana dispensary got a business license under false pretenses by claiming that "the nature of the business was organic natural herbs and vitamin sales." The city wants Stan The Man's Collective declared a public nuisance, enjoined, restrained, required to vacate, and fined $50 a day for the year it's been open.

Vallejo's Commercial District is no place for a marijuana dispensary, the city says. It adds that none of its zoning classifications "refer to marijuana retailers, collectives or dispensaries."

Named as defendants in Solano County Court are Stan the Man's Collective, its owner Stanley Eby, and property owner Mike Bakkar.
