Drug Recall

A class action in British Columbia Supreme Court claims Teva Canada, Sandoz Canada, et al. failed to warn patients prescribed Valsartan (hydrochlorothiazide) for hypertension that the drug was recalled as possibly carcinogenic, possibly because of contamination by its Chinese supplier.

VANCOUVER, B.C. — A class action in British Columbia Supreme Court claims Teva Canada, Sandoz Canada, et al. failed to warn patients prescribed Valsartan (hydrochlorothiazide) for hypertension that the drug was recalled as possibly carcinogenic, possibly because of contamination by its Chinese supplier.
