Drug Maker Isn’t Liable For Suicide, Court Says

NEW ORLEANS (CN) - Wyeth Pharmaceuticals dodged liability in one of a growing number of lawsuits accusing drug companies of failing to warn customers of the increased suicide risks of certain antidepressants. The 5th Circuit ruled that a widow failed to establish that her husband's death was caused by the inadequate warning label on the drug Effexor.
