AUSTIN, Texas — A federal court in Texas ruled in favor of two media groups and a journalist who challenged the state’s restrictions on certain types of drone photography. The court ruled that “no-fly” provisions and surveillance provisions that exempt certain uses of drones, but not newsgathering, violate the Fourth and 14th Amendments.
