Driver’s Licenses

Tennessee’s policy of suspending the driver’s licenses of people who have failed to pay fines for certain traffic violations does not violate the Fourteenth Amendment, the Sixth Circuit ruled, noting that its ruling on a nearly identical Michigan policy controls the disposition of the case. 

CINCINNATI — Tennessee’s policy of suspending the driver’s licenses of people who have failed to pay fines for certain traffic violations does not violate the 14th Amendment, the Sixth Circuit ruled, noting that its ruling on a nearly identical Michigan policy controls the disposition of the case.
