DOT Messes with the Indiana Time Zone Boundary Again

WASHINGTON (CN) - Does any Hoosier really know what time it is? In planning to observe Daylight Savings Time in spring 2006, Indiana supported its counties' petitioning the Department of Transportation to change from Central to Eastern time, or the other way around, depending on ties to surrounding communities.

Five counties that wanted to switch to Central Time experienced a multitude of inconveniences and petitioned to switch back. The counties of Knox, Daviess, Martin, Pike, and Dubois will return to Eastern Time by not 'falling back' on Nov. 4.
