Domestic violence

MADISON, Wis. — A lighting company that rescinded a job offer after a background check revealed the applicant’s domestic violence convictions did not unlawfully discriminate against the man, the Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled, finding the company proved the circumstances surrounding his convictions “substantially relate” to the circumstances of the position he had been hired to fill.
