Doctor Asks Federal Court To Enjoin Empanelling Of Grand Jury In Kansas

WICHITA (CN) - Dr. George Tiller, who says he has been has been "subject to terrorist acts of bombing and attempted murder," asked the Federal Court to enjoin the empanelling of a grand jury, claiming it is being called to investigate him for providing legal abortions, based on subpoenaed files that were rejected by the 2006 grand jury.

Tiller says "he has been the target of historic, persistent, pernicious, and violent attacks" by abortion opponents, including "illegal demonstrations blocking access to his clinic ... terrorist acts of bombing and attempted murder".
