DK Leads In New Orders

Continuing a recent run of top-spot economic statistics in the European Union, Denmark in May had the biggest increase in manufacturing work with a rise of 24.6% over the same month a year ago. Across the EU, new industrial orders were down 4.4% in May compared to a year ago, according to Eurostat figures released Wednesday. France and the Netherlands were among the big losers with drops of - 8.9% and -7.5% in manufacturing work orders.
