A longtime law enforcement officer sued Kleberg County (Texas) Attorney Kira Talip in federal court, claiming she fired him for objecting to her giving public money to (nonparty) King Ranch Security to buy police radios, because, she said, “the King Ranch was a valuable and powerful ally for her.”

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A longtime law enforcement officer accuses Kleberg County attorney Kira Talip in a federal complaint of firing him because he objected to her giving public money to (nonparty) King Ranch Security to buy police radios. Talip allegedly said of the move: “The King Ranch was a valuable and powerful ally for her."
