Filming cops

HELENA — A bystander who refused an officer’s order to film a traffic stop from further down the street failed to win reversal of his obstructing an officer conviction. The bystander stopped right next to the pulled over vehicle, began gesturing to the occupants and ignored multiple warnings to move away. The Montana Supreme Court noted that the professionalism exhibited by the officer “stands as an example of how these encounters can be and are professionally handled,” adding that the video of the incident “will likely go the way of the Lost Ark because it doesn’t make for good clickbait.”
