A decorated Navy flier faces up to 20 years in federal prison after pleading guilty Tuesday to embezzling $124,000 in charitable contributions as treasurer of the Distinguished Flying Cross Society, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in San Diego said.

SAN DIEGO — Decorated Navy flier Anthony Ventura, 71, of Lincoln, California, faces up to 20 years in federal prison after pleading guilty Tuesday to embezzling $124,000 in charitable contributions as treasurer of the Distinguished Flying Cross Society, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in San Diego said.
