Disabled Veterans to Get Paralympics Stipend

WASHINGTON (CN) - The Department of Veterans Affairs plans to establish regulations for paying a monthly assistance allowance to military veterans training to make the U.S. Paralympics team.

The monthly stipend would be for disabled veterans who compete for or make the team, or reside at a U.S. Paralympics training center.

The proposed rule would require an application to establish eligibility for the allowance and certification by the U.S. Paralympics.
