Dirty Doings Alleged In Russian Antiques

MANHATTAN (CN) - A man claims he sold some porcelain pots from an ornate Russian centerpiece to Sakai Antiques, which stole the remaining items and sold them for $250,000 to the Russian Mafia, without his knowledge or consent. Plaintiff Elyaho Malekan claims in New York County Court that the Russian mob would "kill him or his family if he tried to recover the piece," which later appeared for auction at Sotheby's.
