DirecTV Faces Another Class Action

LOS ANGELES (CN) - DirecTV unfairly, and illegally, withdraws an "early termination" fee of as much as $480 fee from customers' accounts as soon as they order service, "without consulting them or otherwise obtaining their consent," a class action claims in Superior Court.

And it does not inform customers that it even charges an early termination fee, the class claims.

Much sued-DirecTV is the largest satellite TV service in the county, with 16.8 million subscribers.

Plaintiffs are represented by Todd Schneider with Schneider Wallace Cottrell of San Francisco.
