‘Diet Coffee’ My Eye, FTC Says

MANHATTAN (CN) - Diet Coffee and its directors David Stocknoff and David Attarian make false and misleading claims for their bogus product, which they falsely advertise nationwide, on TV, radio and the Internet, the FTC claims in Federal Court.

The defendants, working out of Midtown Manhattan, falsely claim that their product can make you lose 2 to 5 lbs. per week "without the need to reduce caloric intake or increase physical activity," that it "burns body fat," that it "increases muscle mass," that it "boosts metabolism sufficient to cause weight loss or burn body fat," and so on and so forth.

The FTC demands restitution, disgorgement of unjust profits, an injunction and penalties.
