Diamond Thieves

A man who, along with his accomplices, stole nearly $100,000 in diamonds from several Jared jewelry stores in six states properly received an enhanced sentence based on his “perpetual relocation to avoid law enforcement,” the Sixth Circuit ruled. The man argued that his practice of returning to his home base in Toledo, Ohio, did not amount to “relocation.”
