SAN DIEGO (CN) - San Diego County Deputy Sheriff Lowell Bruce shot his wife to death in front of their 4-year-old son and her parents, after the County hired him despite his twice failing a psychological evaluation, Kristin Maxwell-Bruce's parents claim in Federal Court. They claim that deputies who responded to the 911 call, realizing the shooter was one of their own, refused to let the wounded woman be taken to a hospital, causing her to drown in her own blood.
