Dennis Quaid Sues Baxter Healthcare | For Dosage Mistake To His Twin Baby Girls

CHICAGO (CN) - Dennis and Kimberly Quaid's twin baby girls were given 1,000 times too much Heparin, an anticoagulant, because Baxter Healthcare Corp. packages its 10,000 unit/ml vials of the drug in containers virtually identical to the 10 unit/ml vials, the Quaids claim in Cook County Court. Their girls were born Nov. 7 and injured on Nov. 18 at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, the Quaids claim. See complaint.
