Del Norte Superior Court Gets First Woman Judge

(CN) - Chris Doehle will join the Del Norte County Superior Court as its first female judge, Gov. Jerry Brown announced.

Doehle, 50, a Democrat from Del Norte, replaces the now-retired Judge Robert Weir. She earned graduated from the University of Washington School of Law after getting a bachelor of science degree from the University of Oregon.

Doehle served as an associate attorney at Harland Law Firm from 1990 to 1995 and has since been in private practice.

The new position includes an annual salary of $178,789.
