(CN) - The Supreme Court on Tuesday refused to review the Environmental Protection Agency's decision against the safety of exposure to the pesticide carbofuran.
Finding that all exposure resulting from existing legal uses is unsafe in 2009, the EPA revoked all pesticide tolerances for carbofuran under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.
The D.C. Circuit upheld the finding in July 2010. It had been challenged by the National Corn Growers Association, the National Sunflower Association, the National Potato Council and FMC Corporation.
