Defamation’s limits

MANHATTAN — An appeals court in New York affirmed the dismissal of a defamation suit brought by Jide Zeitlin, former CEO of the parent company for Coach and Kate Spade, against the ProPublica journalist who wrote a story about Zeitlin’s rise and fall due to his sexual predilections. The article concerned a matter of public interest because Zeitlin is a well known business executive and former nominee to a United Nations post.
