Def Jam Founder Says Phisher Stole His ID

CINCINNATI (CN) - Daniel Adams of La Mesa, Calif., is stealing people's identities and financial information through his business, Devoted Inc., and his Web site rushmecredit.com, the true issuers of the "RushCard," a Visa credit card, claim in Federal Court. Plaintiff Russell Simmons, who is among other things a founder of Def Jam Recordings, claims Adams even posted Simmons' picture on the offending Web site, to falsely claim affiliation with Simmons' businesses. See complaint.
