Deer Breeders Challenge Oregon Law

SALEM, ORE. (CN) - Ten breeders of deer, elk and buffalo claim the State of Oregon illegally declared their captive stock "game animals," and demanded licensing and/or seizure of the animals. Plaintiffs claim the revised statute is illegal; they want to keep their stock, or, in the alternative, $7 million in damages.

The breeders are represented in Marion County Court by Geordie Duckler with The Animal Law Practice of Portland.
