Death Metal Rocker Faces|Child Pornography Charge

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (CN) - A man who dresses as an evil clown in a heavy metal band has been indicted on a federal child pornography charge.

Martin L. "Vlad" Evanick, 31, of Collinsville, Ill., is charged with producing child pornography.

Prosecutors say he persuaded a girl to engage in sexual activity in April and took pictures of her genitals and of himself engaging in a sex act with her.

Evanick plays drums and is, or was, lead vocalist for the thrash-death metal band The Core of Your Nightmares, according to the band's and Evanick's Facebook pages.
