Dancing Champ Says Manager Stole His Prize

LAS VEGAS (CN) - One of the weekly winners of ABC's short-lived reality dance competition "Dance Machine" has accused his manager of backdating a contract and swiping his $100,000 prize money.

Jeffrey Kelley says in Clark County Court that he did not have an agent when he signed a contract with Argyle Productions on Dec. 3, 2007 to be on the show. He says he signed a management agreement with Eric Floyd of Goddess Empire on Feb. 6, 2008.

On June 26, 2008, Kelley, a mixed martial artist, won $100,000 on the summer dance show.

Although Floyd did not represent plaintiff when he signed the contract to appear on the show, "he contracted the entity distributing the prize proceeds and misrepresented that he ... did in fact represent plaintiff," the lawsuit states.

Floyd then allegedly backdated Kelley's management contract by a year to Feb. 6, 2007, forged plaintiff's signature and asked producers to send him the prize money, which they did.

Kelley says Floyd kept all the money. He is represented by William Brown with Sullivan Brown.
