D.C. Circuit

TRADEMARK - The estate of Francisco Coll-Monge unsuccessfully claimed that the nonprofit organizations he founded were violating the estate's trademarks. The D.C. Circuit ruled that the related-companies doctrine does not apply to the nonprofit organizations, because the Lanham Act does not require formal corporate control.
