Cyberattack

BOSTON — The First Circuit upheld Martin Gottesfeld’s conviction for intentionally causing damage to a protected computer after he and others committed a cyberattack against Boston Children’s Hospital and Wayside Youth and Family Support Network, causing both to lose internet for several weeks.

Gottesfeld said his actions were aimed at protecting a teenager whose medical condition and care was at the center of a nationally followed custody dispute.
