Customs Brokers May Be|Able to Share Client Data

WASHINGTON (CN) - To facilitate modern business practices, U.S. Customs and Border Protection plans to allow customs brokers to share client information with third-party vendors, so tasks such as photocopying, document scanning and record retrieval may be done at lower cost.

The proposed rule requires the client's consent for customs brokers to release the information.
