LAS VEGAS (CN) - McDonald's served a man a hamburger covered with human blood, the customer says. It wasn't until halfway through his meal that he saw "blood upon the hamburger, the hamburger wrapper, his hands, his water bottle, and the tray," Douglas Henke claims in Clark County Court.
Henke says he and his wife went to a McDonald's on the Las Vegas Strip in December 2008, ordered and began eating when "halfway through his meal, Douglas noticed what appeared to be blood on his hands."
He says he saw blood on the "wrapper, his hands, his water bottle and the tray."
Henke said he approached the counter to complain, and saw a worker who handled his food "bleeding from an open wound on his hand."
Henke says the Nevada Health Department went to investigate, but the man who had bled on his food had been sent home.
Henke seeks punitive damages for negligence and other claims. He is represented by Patrick Driscoll.
