Customer Says Car Dealer’s Workers|Punched Him Out After Protests

CLAYTON, Mo. (CN) - Suntrup Hyundai employees tried to run over a customer with a car and punched him in the face after he repeatedly protested its poor service, the man claims in St. Louis County Court. Hans Overton says he protested in front of the dealership from November 2006 to March 24, 2007, when employees drove a car at him, ran over his chair and protest signs, and clocked him in the face.

Overton claims he had a First Amendment right to protest the poor service. He seeks $500,000 in punitive damages and is represented by Darryl Driver of Jefferson City.
