Cruise ship fees

HONOLULU (CN) — Cruise Lines International Association is suing the Hawaii Department of Taxation over a 14% surcharge on cruise fares and mandatory registration fees for cruise-ship operators docking in Hawaii ports. The fees are set to go into effect on Jan. 1, 2026.
