Crispy-Edge Pan Inventor Sues QVC

INDIANAPOLIS (CN) - Matthew Griffin patented a prize-winning "Bakers Edge" pan in 2002, and says that QVC refused offers to license it, and now pushes an identical pan on its home shopping channel. Griffin says his pan, which allows all pieces of brownies, lasagna and other stuff to have two crispy edges, caught QVC's eye when it won a $25,000 prize in a Visa Corp. inventors' contest in 2004.
