Criminal contempt for Donziger

MANHATTAN (CN) — The Second Circuit upholds the criminal contempt convictions against Steven Donziger, a disbarred environmental lawyer who argued the special prosecutors appointed by the district court in his case were “inferior officers” who lacked supervision in violation of the Constitution’s appointments clause. The argument is without merit, as the prosecutors reported to the attorney general.
