SAN DIEGO – Rather than cremate a World War II veteran as it promised, Pacific Crematorium dismembered him and sold his parts for profit, the man’s son claims in Superior Court. Stephen Purvis says he thought he had half of his father’s ashes in an urn, until the Riverside Coroner’s Office told him it had his father’s knees. Purvis says the crematorium sold other body parts to unknown hospitals.
