CHICAGO (CN) - Craigslist is ending its "erotic services" ads and will replace them with a new adult category that Craigslist employees will review, Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan said. Craigslist has been under pressure to remove the ads after a medical student in Boston was charged with killing a masseuse he met through the site.
Madigan's office said the erotic services ads will expire in seven days.
Madigan and attorneys general from Missouri and Connecticut met with Craigslist officials last week seeking an end to the ads that they believe are ads for illegal sexual activities.
