JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (CN) - Two people who recorded themselves engaged in a sex act in the Duval County Courthouse, and later posted the video to Facebook and Twitter, have turned themselves in to face charges of engaging in an unnatural and lascivious act.
Jeremiah Isiah Robinson, 35, turned himself in to the authorities Monday night, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.
Brittney Lachelll Jones, 26, posted on her Facebook page Tuesday that she planned to turn herself in immediately upon returning to Jacksonville from New York.
"I'm turning myself in today. I have a misdemeanor thank God. My lawyer said I will be getting a 500$ fine," Jones said in the post. "All these chicks happy I'm getting a big fine but my lawyer cost 5K so you know 500$ is nothing. I know my haters big mad I didn't get a serious charge lol."
She later posted: "This whole case situation has shown me who my real fans are. I got n****s putting up bond money. Some asking for my info so they can put money on my books if I go to jail. I swear on some real s**t I ***** with you n****s the looong way. Those of you who looking out for me I swear I got you once I'm out. Thank y'all soo f**king much."
Warrants for Jones and Robinson were issued Monday on charges they committed an unnatural and lascivious act in the courthouse.
The video was recorded during business hours on the morning of Jan. 31 outside courtroom 401. Jones then posted the video to her Twitter account, and later, on her Facebook page.
The video has since been deleted from both.
Under Florida law, committing an unnatural and lascivious act with another person is a second-degree misdemeanor.
If convicted, Jones and Robinson each could face up to 60 days in jail and a $500 fine.
