Courthouse Arrests

Washington state sued the Department of Homeland Security in federal court for its “unlawful, unconstitutional, and deeply harmful policy of <a href="http://www.courthousenews.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Immigration-arrests.pdf"><strong>co-opting Washington state courts</strong></a> to carry out federal civil immigration arrests.”

SEATTLE — Washington state brought a federal complaint over what it calls the U.S. government’s “unlawful, unconstitutional, and deeply harmful policy of co-opting Washington state courts to carry out federal civil immigration arrests.”
