DALLAS (CN) - Public sector software developer Tyler Technologies has acquired competitor SoftCode, to add civil service capabilities to its Odyssey case management system.
Founded in 1991, Marlborough, Mass.-based SoftCode provides civil case management products for several county sheriffs' departments, including service attempts to final execution of statements.
Financial terms were not disclosed. No layoffs are planned.
SoftCode's founding partners, management and employees will join Tyler's Courts and Justice Division. SoftCode said its technology and services will be integrated into Tyler operations and branding.
Plano-based Tyler said the purchase would expand its portfolio of courts. Tyler said it serves more than 11,000 local government offices in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and United Kingdom, and elsewhere.
