CHICAGO (CN) - The 7th Circuit overturned a $713,000 sanction against Ty Inc., maker of Beanie Babies stuffed animals, for convincing a potential witness not to testify in a trademark dispute with Softbelly's Inc. The court said the sanction excessively forfeited Ty's damage award from a retrial over Softbelly's Screenie Beanies, whose chamois bellies are used to clean computer monitors.
