Court Reverses $9 Million Verdict In Cattle Case

ST. LOUIS (CN) - The 8th Circuit reversed a $9.25 million verdict against four large meat packers on the basis that cattle ranchers failed to show that the companies had intentionally manipulated or controlled prices. Defendants in the class action were Cargill Meat Solutions, Swift Beef, National Beef Packing Co. and Tyson Fresh Meats. See ruling.
