Court OK’s Damage Award After Semi Rams House

BOISE (CN) – The Idaho Supreme Court upheld the $74,000 reduced punitive damage award granted to residents whose insurance company delayed paying for the damage caused when a Polish man repeatedly, and apparently without provocation, rammed his semi-truck into their home. Farmers Insurance must pay $18,650 in compensatory damages and $74,000 in punitive damages, reduced from $660,000.
