Court Nixes Contract Case Over Night-Vision Goggles

FALLS CHURCH, Va. (CN) - The Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals dismissed CANVS Corp.'s claim that the Army infringed its patented technology by allowing the unauthorized use of enhanced night-vision goggles.

The board of contract appeals said it lacks jurisdiction over the company's claims, because CANVS is not considered a "contractor" under the Contract Disputes Act.
