Court Cuts Immigrant Slack For Petty Offense

SAN FRANCISCO (CN) - The 9th Circuit held that an immigrant convicted of a "petty offense" is still eligible for cancellation of removal. The court allowed Mario Blanco to continue to fight deportation despite his conviction for receiving stolen property because it was not a crime of moral turpitude.
