(CN) - Boeing won back a $1.1 billion contract to maintain an Air Force mid-air refueling jet after the Federal Circuit on Tuesday reversed a 2008 ruling that stripped the company of its contract.
The decision reinstates Boeing's 10-year contract to work on the KC-135 Stratotanker, which Boeing built and was awarded the maintenance contract in 2007.
The Court of Federal Claims in 2008 ruled in favor of rival bidder Alabama Aircraft Industries, which complained that Boeing's contract was not fairly awarded.
