Countries Must Consent To Get Batteries

WASHINGTON (CN) - The export of spent lead batteries and other hazardous waste, to countries were metals are reclaimed from the waste, will require a notification and consent form from the destination country, beginning July 7.

This will allow the EPA to match the forms against hazardous waste manifests for each import and export shipment.
