Cornel West intends 2028 presidential run

PITTSBURGH — Cornel West and Melina Abdullah, a third-party presidential ticket in 2024, may proceed with constitutional claims against Pennsylvania’s secretary of state over ballot access rules. The state argued the claims were moot because the 2024 election ended, but West intends to run again in 2028 and faces the same alleged burdens. The claims against the department are dismissed on immunity grounds.
