A federal court in North Carolina ruled in favor of Oprah Winfrey in a copyright suit brought by a writer who claimed the show “Greenleaf” infringed on her memoir. The court found that the concept of the book and the show are “completely different,” and “there is not even superficial similarity between the two works.”
